Swimming

Taylor went swimming for the first time today. He LOVED it. I plan on doing a mom & tot class with him at our rec-center in the fall. It was beautiful today outside. My friend, Kathy's pool is quiet with only 2 other people hanging out there today. It was nice to have the pool to ourselves.

Taylor's first mohawk! Adam will be so proud.

This is what happens now when Taylor doesn't get something he wants!
(In this case it was the camera I was taking his picture with...oh my)

Couple other notes:

I think we maybe moving Taylor's 1st birthday party to one of the weekends in August due to some scheduling conflicts and some things Ben and I want done before the party.

I am also giving up sugar! I had a friend, Adrienne, who has given up sugar for over 30 days now, go Ade! I went on a walk with her last week (long walk 4.5 miles...kicked my butt, literaly) and I felt so inspired. Plus I am really trying to get back in shape before we try to get pregnant again (end of the summer). I started swimming 3 times a week and lifting weights & doing the eliptical 2 times a week at 5am. I have been doing it for 3 weeks now...I really enjoy the early mornings now. By 7am when Taylor gets up I'm ready for the day with my workout done and getting ready in peace & quite while everyone else sleeps is so nice. God has given me the strength to keep it up because only He knows I couldn't keep it up all on my own! I am hoping by Taylor's party to be halfway to my goal.

Hail Storms

We have been getting some crazy storms lately. With storms comes the hail...looks almost like snow.

Father's Day

We went to the zoo today for Father's Day.

Taylor looking at a monkey.

We bought Taylor a full size polar bear.

Water Games

We got Taylor a baby pool. It's pretty cool...but he didn't seem to like the cold hose water as much as he likes the warm bath tub.

Walking...

I gave Taylor a marshmellow after dinner the other day. He had a lot of fun squishing it in his hands. More of it ended up on him then in his mouth.

Taylor is now walking! Walking all over the place. It happened so fast, it only took him a few days it seems. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He will be a year old next month. WOW.

(Mark your calendars, Taylor's 1st birthday party will be on Saturday, July 25th. I think we are going to do more of an informal BBQ then a planned out party. I'll send out an evite with more info later.)
