 Today I am grateful for a lot of things.  We spent the day at the Rodeo and Stock Show with the kids, Papa & Cheryl.  We had an amazing time and I am so thankful for my family.  I am grateful for the traditions we are creating by going as a family every year.  I loved the stock how as a kid and I think it is so great I get to share it with my kids now.  And I am also a wanna-be-cowgirl.  I also love that Taylor wore his cowboy hat all day...he is one handsome cowboy!

Stock Show Time

We spent the day at the Rodeo and Stock Show.  We had so much fun.  Taylor wore his cowboy hat all day.  He also recently told me he is going to be a cowboy and a horse and he's going to catch the sheep and cows with his circle (he means a lasso).   I love stock show time...I am a wanna-be-cowgirl.

I am grateful for a very cool crisp night.  Taylor has croup and we are out looking at the night sky with a bright white moon and sparkling stars to help his breathing.

I am grateful for little man that loves to "cook" for me.  He loves to make me mac-n-cheese with grapes and sandwiches.  It makes me feel so loved.

I am grateful for my quiet time in the morning.  I made a commitment to God and myself to get up each morning and spend time with him.  It was hard at first getting up earlier but now I look forward to my early mornings.  I am grateful for God getting me up.

I am grateful for these two little boys.  We sponsored Vincent & Liomar through World Vision.  It is such a blessed opportunity to be able to support them.  I am grateful to God for putting it on my heart to take the step and support them.

Gratitude Journal #8

I am grateful that Taylor and Hailey enjoy playing together.  Today they painted pictures together.  I am grateful that a friendship is developing between them.  Even though they fight over toys sometimes I can really see there love for each other.  I love our kids so much!

I am grateful for friends that have creative ideas.  My friend Julie runs our card club each month.  She came up with this really cool recipe boxes.  We all got to pick different papers so each one was unique.

I am grateful for my two boys!  I love them so much and I feel so blessed.  Taylor climbs in bed with Ben each morning to say good morning.  This morning Taylor was trying to lay like Ben, it was so cute!

 I am grateful for creative time with the kids.  Hailey loves to color and asks to do it every day.  I enjoy spending time with her coloring.  I love rediscovering activities that I loved doing as a kid.

I am grateful for Wally!  He is such an amazing dog.  I love his personality, he is so sweet and truly a caring dog.  He is also so good with both of the kids.  Hailey especially loves to crawl on him and he just lays there and let's her do whatever.  I also think he really does love us and he is sooo cute!  He was an amazing addition to our family and I am grateful for the place he took when we had to find Dallas a new home.  We love Wally!

 I am so grateful that Taylor finds one of my childhood toys to be so much fun.  I enjoyed marble works growing up and now Taylor enjoys playing with the same toy.  We have a great time building different tracks and having marble races.  Ben and I even found more pieces to add to it for Christmas this last year.  I am grateful for playtime with my kids!

I am so grateful for my daughter, Hailey.  She makes me smile and laugh everyday.  She truly brightens the room every time she enters it.  Her personality is growing and she is becoming such a little girl with a Big personality.  I also love that her hair is long enough to put up in pigtails.  She is so cute and a blessing from God.  Thank you God for giving me such an incredible daughter to raise.

Today I wanted to start out my gratitude journal with my family.  I am so grateful for my family.  God has blessed me with an amazing husband and two beautiful children that all brighten my day each day.  I could not image doing life with anyone else, Ben truly is my better half.  Taylor & Hailey add joy to my days and I am so grateful to God for blessing me with being their mom.  My family is so special to me and I am so grateful for them.

Gratitude Journal
A friend of mine last year did a gratitude journal.  Each day she posted a picture and statement for what she was grateful for that day.  It was truly inspiring.  I have decided this year to do the same.  I want to focus on being grateful each day in 2012.  God has truly blessed me and our family and want to thank Him each day.  My goal is to post in our blog each day a picture and a statement for what I am grateful for.  I think it will be really cool to look back at the end of this year and see what God has done in our life.
